The purpose of Presbyterian Women is to nurture faith through prayer and Bible study and to support worldwide mission projects. To this end, a "Birthday" and a "Thank" offering are received during the year. Additionally, pledges are made to the Presbyterian Women budget to further the mission work.
Northside has Five PW Circles. Once per year, each Circle provides lunch at the UTC Presbyterian House. Receptions are prepared for memorial and funeral services for members of the church if families so desire.
Local missions at Newton Center, Northside Neighborhood House and the Northside Learning Center are strongly supported. Ecumenical work is supported through membership in Church Women United. This enables us to have worldwide fellowship with the receiving of the "Least Coin" offering. Many church activities would not be possible were it not for Presbyterian Women, serving lovingly and to the glory of God.
The Northside Presbyterian Women is one of 79 in the Presbytery of East Tennessee. Women from Northside serve the larger organization on the Presbytery Coordinating Team.
